How to Decorate a Dog’s Barkday Cake!
Are you wanting to throw your fur baby a Happy Birthday, Adoption Day or Gotcha Day party and don’t know where to begin! Have no fear, your friends at Pup Corn are here! We will give you the need to know about dog safe ingredients and how to use them!
Safe Cake Ingredients
You can find plenty of “Dog Safe Cake” recipes on Pinterest or you may be able to order a blank cake from a dog friendly bakery. The common ingredients that have been:
· Natural Peanut Butter
· Unsweetened Apple Sauce
· Pure Pumpkin Puree
· Plain Greek Yogurt
· Honey
· Eggs
· Carrots
As always, please use your own discretion and ask your veterinarian if you have any questions about the ingredients you want to use in the actual cake itself.
How to use Pup Corn Treats to Decorate
After you have your cake made, then it is time to have some fun and decorate! You can use Pup Corn Plus treats in a variety of ways to decorate your Bark Day cake! We use them whole and then made four different textures. We used a coffee grinder to make the dust and a rolling pin and Ziplock bag to make 2-4.

3. Medium Chunks
4. Large Chunks
However you choose to decorate have fun and make sure your pup enjoys eating up all the yummy treats and cake!
